Dear Columbus City Schools Community, On behalf of Columbus City Schools, I want to thank you sincerely for your continued support and strong advocacy for fair school funding. Your voices, your efforts, and your , commitment to our students have been critical in moving this conversation forward at the state level. Thanks to your dedication, through letters, calls, testimony, and community engagement, important steps were taken in the recently passed state budget. The state’s two-year budget includes improvements to how Ohio funds public education and removes provisions that would have undermined local control of school facilities. While the bill still presents challenges to fully funding public schools at the level our students truly deserve, it represents meaningful progress in the right direction.
