A 16-year-old girl died after being struck by a car in North Ridgeville on Monday, authorities said. Violet Gustafson died around 6 p.m. after she was hit while walking on Lorain Road, near a McDonald’s restaurant, according to police. Paramedics transported her to UH St. John Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
