AKRON, Ohio-One teen was killed and two others injured in a shooting at a Halloween party in Akron on Saturday night. Police responded to the scene on Paris Avenue around 10:46 p.m. and found an 18-year-old girl with severe injuries; she later died at the hospital. A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl also sustained non-life-threatening injuries but managed to flee the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest an unknown man fired shots during the party. Police detained an 18-year-old man after a brief foot chase and recovered a handgun he discarded while fleeing. He has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business, but his involvement in the shooting is still unclear. The names of the victims are being withheld pending further investigation.
