A child was seen walking alone in the roadway on SOM Center Road, just south of Wilson Mills Road around 3:30 p.m. July 3. When officers arrived in the area near Heinen’s and the Aintree Park apartments, the 1-year-old had already been removed from the road by several concerned motorists who stopped to assist.
