On May 24, Dispatch.com readers voted for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center High School Athlete of the Week for competitions held before May 19. The winner is Temidayo Owoyemi, a track and field athlete from Horizon Science Academy.
Temidayo Owoyemi won The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center High School Athlete of the Week with 61.9% of the vote. She achieved personal records in shot put (39-7) and discus (139-8) at the Division II district meet. Mairin O’Brien from Olentangy Orange was the runner-up, excelling in various track and field events and earning 12 varsity letters in cross country, basketball, and track.
