Two Children Among Four Dead in Tiffin Murder-Suicide
A devastating shooting on Huss Street in Tiffin claimed the lives of four people, including two children, on Wednesday evening.
Police say officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire and screaming. Inside the home, they found an adult male and two boys with gunshot wounds.
One boy and the adult male were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other child later died at a hospital. A woman inside the home was uninjured.
Police also found another man outside with what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities are withholding the names of the affected persons until their families are notified.
This tragedy underscores the right of every child to life, survival, and protection from violence under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Children have the right to grow up safe from harm, including in their own homes and communities, and society has a responsibility to protect them from such devastating acts of violence.
