THREE NEW PRINCIPALS ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR

Columbus City Schools announces three new principal appointments for the 2024-2025 school year. These appointments mark a new chapter in the respective schools’ journeys, and the community looks forward to the positive impact and growth under the new leadership.

• Broadleigh Elementary School: Shawnya McFadden, a dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in the district, has been appointed as the new Principal. Known for her innovative vision and commitment to student development, McFadden aims to positively impact students, staff, and families at Broadleigh.
• Burroughs Elementary School: Robert Losee, an experienced educational leader with over 27 years of service, has been appointed as the new Principal. Losee’s strategic leadership and expertise in fostering positive learning environments are expected to benefit students and staff at Burroughs.
• Oakmont Elementary School: Kristy Leigh, a highly experienced educator with a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership, has been appointed as the new Principal. Leigh’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment, along with her strategic leadership, is anticipated to bring positive changes to Oakmont Elementary.
