17-Year-Old Dies After North Side Columbus Shooting
Ariyuan Burton, 17, tragically lost his life early Sunday morning after a shooting on Columbus’s north side. Officers responded to the 900 block of East Dublin-Granville Road around 3:58 a.m., where they discovered two males with gunshot wounds.
Both affected persons were rushed to the hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, Burton was pronounced dead at 4:38 a.m. The second person is expected to survive.
Authorities later confirmed the shooting occurred on East Lincoln Avenue, not Dublin-Granville as initially reported.
No suspect information or motive has been released at this time.
