A study by Mixbook found that 34% of divorced fathers in Ohio won’t be with their children on Father’s Day. The survey included 3,000 divorced fathers nationwide and aimed to represent a diverse geographic sample.
Nationwide, the study revealed that 1 in 5 divorced fathers won’t be with their children on Father’s Day. In Ohio, this figure is higher, with 1 in 3 divorced fathers stating they will miss spending Father’s Day with their children.
Many of these fathers expressed challenges in missing important moments in their children’s lives, with brunch being cited as the preferred way to spend Father’s Day. Emotional distress was also reported among divorced fathers who are separated from their children on significant days like Father’s Day.
