Anderson High School set to reopen on Monday after several days of repairs, the Forest Hills School District announced. The school had been closed since Thursday, February 20, after a burst fire sprinkler head, caused by freezing temperatures, exposed multiple components of the building’s electrical system to water.

During the closure, the district’s maintenance team, along with outside electrical contractors, worked to resolve the issue. While repairs were underway, school assignments became mostly optional for students.

In a letter to families, Superintendent Larry Hook confirmed that the school passed its final safety inspections on Friday and that power had been fully restored. The return to normal operations will also include the Experience Program, the Transition to Work Program, after-school activities, athletics, and extracurricular programs.

Hook expressed gratitude to the maintenance and custodial staff for their efforts in restoring the building, emphasizing that safety remains the district’s top priority. He reassured families that the district is committed to supporting students academically as they transition back to a normal schedule.
