Barnesville Middle Schooler Crowned Ohio and National ATVMX Champion

Coy Jackson, 11, who will begin 6th grade at Barnesville Middle School next week, has achieved a remarkable milestone, being crowned both Ohio and National ATVMX Champion last weekend at Briercliff MX in Nashport, Ohio.
Coy has been racing since age five alongside his older brother, Cash, a two-time National Champion who will be entering Barnesville High School as a freshman this year. The brothers travel across the country with their parents, Ty and Chelsey Jackson, competing in quad motocross racing at the highest youth levels.
“Out of 16 motos this season on his 70 Shifter JB Mod, Coy won 14 motos and pulled the holeshot in 10 of those races,” shared his mother, Chelsey.
In addition to winning both championships, Coy has been nominated for National Youth Athlete of the Year, an honor that includes a feature in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated and a $25,000 prize.
This achievement reflects the importance of recognizing and supporting children’s talents and voices. Under Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, every child has the right to participate fully in cultural and sporting life, and Coy’s story is a powerful example of what happens when young people are given the space to pursue their passions.
