East High School Tightens Security After Bomb Threat

On Thursday morning, East High School in Youngstown was placed on lockdown after a reported bomb threat. Law enforcement responded immediately, and after investigation, authorities determined the threat was non-credible.

Although classes continued as normal, the district added additional security presence at the school to ensure student and staff safety. The district has not released details about who may have made the threat or whether charges will be filed.

Every child has the right to education in a safe and secure environment, and not in fear of attacks.
