Chris Six, a former Dayton attorney, has been sentenced to three to four and a half years in prison for grooming a child in Nevada. The investigation revealed that Six exchanged explicit images with the underage girl, discussed disturbing sexual fantasies, and encouraged her to engage in illegal acts. His actions were uncovered after a thorough search of his electronic devices and online accounts, which revealed explicit conversations and child pornographic material. Six’s Snapchat account was eventually shut down due to its content.

In addition to his prison sentence, Six has been designated a Tier II sex offender. This designation requires him to register his address every 180 days for the next 25 years. The case has drawn attention to the dangers of online platforms and the importance of vigilance in protecting children from predators who exploit digital spaces for harmful purposes.

Six’s professional career has also been impacted. His license to practice law was suspended in 2023 due to non-compliance with continuing legal education requirements. Once a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law and a member of the Ohio Bar, his reputation has been tarnished by these criminal actions. This case serves as a stark reminder of the need for accountability and the consequences of exploiting positions of trust.
