Grandview Heights Attorney Sentenced to 8 Years for Child Sexual Abuse Material
Stephen Chinn, a 41-year-old attorney and former public defender from Grandview Heights, Ohio, was sentenced on Monday to 96 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Chinn uploaded explicit images of children, some depicting acts with adults and animals, which were flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A 2023 search of his home uncovered over 4,000 such images stored on his computer, much of it sourced from a Russian social media platform.
Chinn had previously faced state charges but was federally indicted in September 2023. His sentence marks a sobering reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat online exploitation and protect vulnerable children.
