Child Abduction

Two Inkster Children Rescued in Ohio After Alleged Parental Kidnapping

Two children from Inkster, Michigan, aged four and six, have been found safe in Ohio following an alleged parental kidnapping, according to police.

Authorities said the children were located on Wednesday, October 14, after law enforcement officers used Flock surveillance cameras to track the vehicle believed to have been used by their father.

Police initially responded to Rouge Park on Detroit’s west side at approximately noon on Wednesday in connection with the case. However, authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding their presence at the park.

Relatives told Local 4 that the children’s mother was allegedly tied up and pistol-whipped earlier that morning. They also claimed that the children were taken by their father.

The allegations have not been independently verified, and further details about the incident remain unclear.

Police confirmed that the children were recovered safely in Ohio. Officers from the Inkster Police Department were reportedly travelling to the state to bring the children back.

Authorities credited Flock camera technology with helping them trace the vehicle to Ohio, highlighting the role of surveillance systems in locating individuals and vehicles connected to investigations.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged assault, the children’s removal, and the father’s status remain unclear based on the available information.

Further details are expected as authorities continue investigating the incident.
