On Presidents’ Day, the Trump Administration issued a sweeping directive requiring all public schools and universities to end Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs or risk having their federal funding cut.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) confirmed that letters were sent to every state’s education department, emphasizing that race-based policies and practices will no longer be tolerated. The order cites a recent Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, declaring that using race as a factor for achieving diversity, social justice, or equity is illegal.

Ohio Reacts:
