High school students at Beachcroft High School in Columbus were inspired to dream big as Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose encouraged them to pursue their entrepreneurial ideas.

Speaking during an interactive discussion themed “The Power of Preparedness: An Entrepreneurship Panel Discussion,” Secretary LaRose emphasized that it’s never too early for young people to learn how to transform ideas into successful ventures.

“Starting a business can seem daunting for many young people, but it’s never too early to learn how to turn an idea into reality,” LaRose told the students, underscoring the importance of preparation, leadership, and financial literacy.

Joined by Dr. Regina Keyes, the panelists shared insights on how resilience and strategic planning shape success in business.

Students were actively engaged, asking questions and participating in an entrepreneurship trivia game based on concepts from the Small Business Administration (SBA) presentation. Winners were rewarded with treats, blending learning with fun.

The event provided a platform for students to see entrepreneurship not just as a career path but as a way to think creatively, act responsibly, and build confidence in their abilities.

Every child has the right to education and the freedom to develop their talents. By nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence, initiatives like this empower children to imagine, innovate, and shape their own futures.
