Rally for Operation Under Triple Digits brings together police, Linden community
Operation Under Triple Digits, launched in Columbus last month, aims to reduce homicides in the city. On Sunday, the initiative held its first rally, with members of the group Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children (MOMCC) joining Columbus police officers to address gun violence. The goal is to lower homicide numbers to under 100 for the year, a target supported by community outreach and police collaboration.
According to recent Columbus police data, homicides are down in 2024 compared to the same time last year, with only 4 homicides recorded so far, compared to 19 at this time in 2023. Police officials stress that reducing crime requires both law enforcement efforts and strong community involvement.
