Student Caught with Loaded Gun at John Marshall High School

On Monday, a student was caught with a loaded gun at a checkpoint area at John Marshall High School, located on West 140th Street in Cleveland.
According to a statement from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), one of the district’s Safety and Security Officers immediately confiscated the weapon before the situation could escalate. The student was then arrested by Cleveland Police.
CMSD assured families that no students or staff were harmed during the incident and emphasized that the safety and well-being of the school community remain a top priority. The district is actively cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
