Teen Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Jackson County ATV Crash

A tragic ATV crash in Jackson County left a 16-year-old boy dead and a 17-year-old seriously injured on Friday night.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the two juveniles were riding a Polaris Sportsman ATV on Antioch Road, near the village of Oak Hill, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, down a steep embankment, and struck a tree.
The 16-year-old from Londonderry died at the scene, while the 17-year-old from Oak Hill sustained serious injuries.
The crash occurred before midnight but was not discovered until early Saturday morning by friends of the boys. Neither juvenile was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
