13-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling from Parade Trailer During Memorial Day Parade
A 13-year-old boy has died following a devastating accident during the Green Memorial Day parade. According to officials, the child fell off the front of a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck and sustained critical injuries.
The Green Fire Department, already on site, responded immediately and transported the boy to Akron Children’s Hospital. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and city officials confirmed the severity of the incident. While the child’s identity has not been released, officials noted he was a student in North Canton City Schools.
An investigation is currently underway, led by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the Summit Metro Crash Response Team.
