This week, we are proud to shine our Children’s Spotlight on Natalie Ampadu, a remarkable student from Licking Heights High School in Pataskala, Ohio. Natalie’s dedication to both her academics and her community sets her apart as an exceptional young leader and visionary, with achievements that speak to her passion for learning and social impact.
A stellar student, Natalie currently holds an impressive 4.3 GPA, balancing numerous Advanced Placement (AP) and College Credit Plus (CCP) courses. She has consistently excelled academically, recently achieving outstanding scores on her ACT exams. Her hard work and determination have fueled her aspirations to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and she is preparing to apply to prestigious institutions such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, and Case Western Reserve University.
Natalie is not only an academic powerhouse but also a highly active member of her school community. She is involved in a wide range of activities, including student council, Diaspora, marching band, wind ensemble, and theatre. Additionally, Natalie was a key participant in her school’s Global Scholars program, where she served on a student panel at the Take Action Fair hosted by Otterbein University. Her project, which addressed the issue of period poverty, highlighted her commitment to making feminine hygiene products accessible to students from low-income backgrounds.
Initially drawn to the Global Scholars program by her interest in environmental issues, Natalie discovered a deeper passion for addressing social challenges and advocating for change. Her leadership, both academically and in her community, has already made a tangible impact, and she continues to inspire those around her.
As Natalie prepares for the exciting journey ahead, transitioning to college and entering a new academic environment, her dedication, intelligence, and compassion make her a shining example of the kind of leader the world needs. We look forward to seeing all that she will achieve in the future.
