Children Spotlight of the Month: Trey Wentz

This month, we proudly recognize Trey Wentz, a dedicated student-athlete and community leader from New Albany High School, Ohio.
Trey is a standout pitcher for the New Albany baseball team and an active participant in the NA Athletics Life and Leadership Program through Ohio State University. His passion for sports performance deepened after a baseball injury, leading him to complete his Senior Seminar Project at Stabilityes. There, he shadowed the owner to gain valuable knowledge about strength and conditioning techniques, building resilience and determination both on and off the field.
Beyond athletics, Trey demonstrates a strong commitment to service. As a member of the National Honor Society, he has led impactful initiatives that uplift his community. For the past four years, Trey and his family have spearheaded The Giving Tree, providing winter essentials and holiday gifts to children in inner-city Columbus. Inspired by this tradition, he organized a coat drive for his NHS project, collecting more than 100 items for students in need.
Trey’s service extends further. He volunteers at Remarkable Evening, the annual New Albany Community Foundation benefit, and participates in the Thanks4Giving Turkey Trot, reflecting his dedication to giving back in meaningful ways.
Through his leadership, athletic excellence, and passion for service, Trey Wentz exemplifies the qualities of a role model for his peers and community. We are honored to spotlight him this month as a shining example of how young people can lead with purpose, character, and impact.
