Children Spotlight of the Week: Layne Bodie

This week, we shine our spotlight on an exceptional young lady, Layne Bodie, a shining example of academic excellence, athletic dedication, and community service.

Layne is a senior at Licking Heights High School, where she has consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance and leadership. With an impressive 4.1 GPA, she has earned a place on the school honor roll for four consecutive years and is a proud member of the National Honor Society.

Beyond the classroom, Layne is a committed athlete. She has been a dedicated member of the school’s volleyball team for the past four seasons, displaying teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Her impact extends beyond school. Layne is actively involved in her community, where she has been recognized for her extensive volunteer service and her commitment to helping others. Her compassion and dedication set her apart as a role model among her peers.

Looking ahead, Layne plans to attend Bowling Green State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Sports Management—a natural next step for a young woman who combines academic excellence with athletic passion.
