Children Spotlight of the Week: Madisyn Rimpsey

Madisyn Rimpsey is making waves as a dedicated student, athlete, and community leader. A senior at New Albany High School, Ohio, Madisyn’s inspiring journey showcases her ability to balance academic excellence, athletic prowess, and a deep commitment to giving back to her community.

Representing her home state with pride, Madisyn has earned recognition as a 4-year letterman for the New Albany Varsity Soccer team and a standout player for the Cleveland Force Soccer Club. Her passion for soccer extends beyond competition, she actively mentors younger players through her club and organized a soccer camp that raised $3,275 for the Lindy Infante Foundation. This Ohio-based initiative provides underprivileged children with opportunities to access and enjoy sports, furthering her vision of equity and inclusion.

Madisyn’s Ohio roots are evident in her involvement with local organizations and causes. Her commitment to serving her community includes engaging with seniors at a nearby senior living facility, supporting children at the New Albany School House, and volunteering at her church during services. Additionally, she contributes to the Usher Ministry and works closely with the Lindy Infante Foundation to bridge gaps in access to sports for children across the state.

As a proud Ohioan, Madisyn also stands out as an advocate for diversity and inclusion. She is an active member of the Black Student Association, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and Girl Up. Through these organizations, she fosters conversations around equity and empowers others to embrace and celebrate their differences.

Her academic achievements further illustrate her dedication to excellence. A consistent member of the Honor Roll, Merit Roll, and National Honor Society, Madisyn embodies the drive and determination that define young leaders in Ohio and beyond.
