Children Spotlight of the Week: Taylor Copas

Taylor Copas embodies this powerful message, shining as bright as a diamond in all her endeavors. As a junior at East High School, Taylor has consistently gone above and beyond, making a significant impact both academically and in her extracurricular activities.
Taylor serves as an executive board member on the student council, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to her peers. She is also an active member of the esteemed Tiger Alliance, where she leads initiatives focused on suicide and violence awareness, showing her commitment to the well-being of her fellow students.
A true student-athlete, Taylor excels on the softball field while maintaining an impressive 3.7 GPA. Her ability to balance sports, academics, and a part-time job is a testament to her exceptional time management and work ethic.
Taylor’s passion for learning extends beyond the classroom. She participates in the Upward Bound program, preparing herself for the academic challenges of college.
Her ambition to become a doctor is well-supported by her selection for the Ohio State College of Medicine’s prestigious MD Camp. This summer, she will further her medical journey by completing the REaCH-LABS internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her many achievements, Taylor is known for her kindness and thoughtfulness. Her positive influence and dedication make her an all-around phenomenal person and a true role model.
