Cincinnati Public Schools Announce New Start Times for 2025-2026 School Year
Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) has announced updated start and end times for nine schools for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Approved by the Board of Education, the changes aim to boost transportation efficiency, improve on-time arrival, enhance service for families, and cut transportation costs.
CPS confirmed that streamlined bus routes will still serve students who live one mile or more from their neighborhood school.
Here are the updated school hours:
Moving to 7:40 a.m. – 2:10 p.m. (from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.):
- AWL
- Rockdale Academy
- CANS (Clifton Area Neighborhood School)

Roll Hill School
Moving to 9:10 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. (from 8:50 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.):
- Roselawn Condon School
- James N. Gamble Montessori Elementary
- North Avondale Montessori
- Roberts Academy
James N. Gamble Montessori High School:
- New time: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

These changes will go into effect at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.
