Madison Local Schools Cancel Classes Tuesday Amid Water Issues
The Madison Local School District has announced that it will be closed on Tuesday, September 9, following a water main break and the ongoing township boil alert.
While all district classes are canceled, Butler Tech students from Madison will still have transportation available. The morning bus will depart from the high school at its usual time, and afternoon transportation will run on schedule.
The district noted it will provide an update on Tuesday regarding whether schools will reopen on Wednesday.
This decision reflects the community’s responsibility to safeguard children’s health and well-being—recognizing that a healthy learning environment is an essential part of every child’s right to education and protection.
