Springfield City Schools Close Monday Due to Bus Driver Shortage
All schools in the Springfield City School District were closed Monday following a sudden shortage of bus drivers caused by illness, according to a morning announcement from the district.
The closure was shared around 6 a.m. via social media and other channels. While classes were canceled, officials said extracurricular activities, including practices, games, and events would continue as planned unless otherwise noted.
District leaders apologized for the disruption and thanked families for their understanding.
