Three in Custody After Fatal Shooting of Akron Teen

Three teens have been arrested and accused of fatally shooting a 15-year-old in Akron, authorities said Wednesday. Akron police and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jaiden Trone, 18, and two teenage boys, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, in connection with the killing of Javion Fort.

The three have been charged with aggravated murder, police said.

Javion was shot on June 13 near South Rhodes Avenue and Oberlin Court. He later died at Akron Children’s Hospital, authorities said.

Trone is currently being held at Summit County Jail, while the two teens are in custody at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center. The suspects were arrested at different locations.

Authorities have not released further information on the suspects or a possible motive for the shooting.

This tragic incident highlights a disturbing trend of increased violence among juveniles, raising serious concerns within communities and law enforcement.
