AKRON, Ohio-The Rotary Club of Akron recently awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from Akron Public Schools (APS) in recognition of their academic achievements and career aspirations. The ceremony, held on April 23, 2024, featured Dr. Michael Robinson, Superintendent of Akron Public Schools, as the keynote speaker.
The club awarded scholarships in various categories, including Public Service, Health and Human Services, Business, Marketing & Information Technology, and Manufacturing, Engineering & Skilled Trades. Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship to support their higher education. The Rotary Club of Akron, committed to community service, aims to invest in the future of Akron’s youth through its scholarship program.
