WARREN, Ohio-Alfreda Provitt, a 47-year-old woman from Warren, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for her involvement in the overdose of a 15-week-old infant in the summer of 2023. She pleaded guilty to one count of child endangering in March and was deemed ineligible for probation due to prior violent convictions.
The incident occurred when Provitt was babysitting the infant, who suffered an overdose after being placed on a bed with fentanyl residue. The baby, now nearly a year old, continues to experience vision problems and seizures as a result of the incident.
