Springfield School Board Approves Tentative Agreement With Exempted Employees

LAKEMORE, Ohio-During their regular meeting on May 21, the Springfield Local Schools Board of Education reached a tentative agreement with exempted employees regarding benefit and salary agreements. Exempted employees, who are non-union and work in central office positions such as secretaries and maintenance supervisors, will see their benefits remain unchanged and receive a 2% wage increase.

The board also approved several administrative contracts and personnel matters, including resignations, new hires, and trips for school teams. They accepted a donation, approved the sale of real property, and entered agreements for electronic staff management services and use of JEDD Park with Springfield Township. Additionally, student achievements were recognized, including high school and junior high students of the month and Portage Lakes Career Center students of the month. Finally, the board went into executive session to discuss personnel matters with no action taken.
