2 Local Teenagers Arrested After Washington Local Schools Swatting Incident, Lockdown Wednesday, FBI Says

< 1 min read

TOLEDO, Ohio-Several Washington Local Schools buildings were placed on lockdown due to what appeared to be multiple swatting threats. Two teenagers, aged 13 and 14 and not affiliated with the schools, were arrested on state charges related to the incidents. Whitmer High School, Washington Jr. High, and Jefferson Jr. High received threatening phone calls prompting the lockdown.

Students were kept safe inside the buildings while police investigated. After a thorough sweep, authorities found no credible threat, and normal operations resumed. Despite social media reports, no suspect had been identified at the time, but both the FBI and Toledo police were involved in the investigation.
