TOLEDO, Ohio-Toledo Public Schools is launching a new Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program for qualified high school seniors. The program will offer one or two classes per semester, with a maximum of five students per class; this semester, the class size is three. Training will take place at a new CDL Practice Pad next to Rogers High School, equipped with two semi-tractors and two trailers. Students will receive 200 hours of training, including 56 hours in the classroom and 144 hours of range and road practice. High school students aged 18 and older with a valid driver’s license can apply through their school counselor.
