AKRON, Ohio-The Strasburg Tigers softball team has won their 900th game in program history, and are now one win away from making Ohio high school softball history. They will face Monroeville in the state championship game on Saturday, with a chance to win their 10th state title, which would be the most in Ohio High School Athletic Association history.
The Tigers have been dominant in their semifinal game against Minster, winning 10-1. They have won 29 games this season and have been to the state championship game three years in a row. The team is led by coach Tom Spidell, who believes that winning a third consecutive state title would be a historic achievement.
