AKRON, Ohio-The Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education appointed Antoinette East-Jenkins to fill a board vacancy, with a special meeting scheduled for her swearing-in and discussion on the superintendent search. East-Jenkins was chosen from 14 candidates and will complete the term of Jon Leissler until 2025.
The superintendent search has stirred controversy, with plans to reach out to finalists Felicia Gould and Kristen Prough to resolve community divisions and move forward. East-Jenkins brings experience from Kent State University and past involvement in diversity and police oversight initiatives.
