DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio-C.O. Harrison Elementary School experienced a delayed start to classes due to lightning striking a pole near the school during morning storms. Students were prevented from entering the building for nearly an hour while emergency services responded.
Fortunately, no students were inside when the lightning struck, and everyone inside the building remained safe. The school lost internet and phone services for about an hour following the incident. Students were allowed to enter the school by 8:30 a.m., and classes resumed as usual.
