WARREN, Ohio-Warren resident Parks, 23, lost his appeal in a decision released by Judges Robert J. Patton, Eugene A. Lucci, and Matt Lynch. Parks was convicted for his involvement in a June 18, 2023 incident at a convenience store where he fired a handgun, resulting in charges including improperly discharging a firearm and felonious assault.
Despite arguing that his sentence was excessive, the appellate court upheld the trial court’s decision, deeming it supported by the record and within legal bounds. Parks will continue serving his 25.5 to 29.5-year sentence at Lake Erie Correctional Institution.
