ROCKY RIVER, Ohio-Dr. Michael Shoaf, Superintendent of Rocky River City Schools, has been named the 2025 Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) Superintendent of the Year, to be honored at the BASA Fall Conference next October. This prestigious award recognizes a superintendent in Ohio based on criteria such as student needs, communication, administrative skills, community involvement, and understanding of broader issues. As Ohio’s nominee, Shoaf is also in the running for the National Superintendent of the Year award.
