She describes the constant vigilance required to keep her children safe, saying that she spends every day ensuring their safety. Brundidge was deeply saddened by the news of a 6-year-old boy with autism who wandered away from his home and drowned. She relates to this tragedy, as her own autistic child has a tendency to wander and has escaped multiple times when she briefly lost sight of him.
