CINCINNATI, Ohio-Cincinnati Public Schools Superintendent Iranetta Wright has announced her resignation, effective May 20, as per a settlement agreement with the Cincinnati Board of Education. She will be paid her current salary until the end of her contract in July 2025, along with unused vacation payouts and continued health benefits.
Wright’s annual salary is $260,000, and with roughly 15 months left in her contract, she is expected to receive nearly $325,000 after her resignation. This decision follows a vote of no confidence from all six unions within CPS, signaling a loss of support in Wright, which is unprecedented in the district’s history.
