< 1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The text discusses the importance of access to books for children’s literacy development, particularly in under-resourced communities. Jamie Lipp, a professor focused on literacy education, collaborated with the Columbus Division of Police to address this issue.

They launched the Starfish Assignment Books and Badges initiative, where officers distribute free books to elementary school students.
