SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio-At Moeller High School, Steve Joebgen, the director of campus ministry, helps students cope with grief through a grief group. After a student’s loss, Joebgen offers support and guidance, lighting candles in the school’s chapel as a symbol of remembrance. Nearly 60 students gather to light candles for loved ones they’ve lost, including parents, siblings, and family members. Joebgen, who lost his father in second grade and his best friend in high school, knows firsthand the impact of grief.
