Teenager Accused in Attempted Car Theft that Led to Death of UC Student Found Guilty

CINCINNATI, Ohio-Nearly six months after the fatal shooting of University of Cincinnati student Benjamin Addison during an attempted car theft, one of the teenage suspects has been found guilty of attempting to steal his car. Addison, 21, was shot while trying to stop two individuals from breaking into his vehicle outside a friend’s apartment in Mount Auburn. The accused shooter, 18-year-old Justin Dugan, has denied murder charges and is set to stand trial in adult court. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old suspect was convicted for his involvement in the attempted theft. Dugan’s next court appearance is scheduled for December.
