EAST KNOX, Ohio-The East Knox Local School District Board of Education appointed Richard J. Baird as the new superintendent of schools after a three-month search and interview process. Baird, with over eight years of superintendent experience, was chosen to be a community leader bringing together students, staff, and the school community.
He is set to officially start on August 1, collaborating with the administrative team for a smooth transition. The selection process involved focus groups from various sectors of the community, with over 50 individuals participating in the interviews. Baird previously served as the superintendent of the North Union Local School District and as principal at Sells Middle School in Dublin, Ohio, earning recognition for his leadership and achievements in education.
