CLEVELAND, Ohio-Timmeka Eggleton, 31, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 31 years for the murder of her 3-year-old son, Curtis Witcher. She pleaded guilty to charges including murder, felonious assault, and endangering children. Prosecutors criticized the decision of juvenile court judge Alison Nelson Floyd for returning custody of Curtis to Eggleton despite her history of unfit parenting and allegations against his foster family. Curtis died from blunt-force trauma, and his death was ruled a homicide.
