WESTLAKE, Ohio-Krystial Quick, a 32-year-old mother from Westlake, was charged with child endangering after allegedly leaving her 2-year-old and 4-year-old children in her hot car while she was inside a business on Columbia Road. Concerned bystanders alerted police, who found the children unattended for 35 to 45 minutes.
Quick claimed that her 4-year-old had climbed into the driver’s seat and turned off the car herself, but bodycam footage showed the car was off for 20 minutes. Quick was not present when officers arrived but later came to the Westlake Police Department after being called. Fortunately, the children were unharmed.
