“Education on Location Boot Camp” Promotes Potential Career Opportunities in Lima-Allen County

LIMA, Ohio-Allen County educators are participating in the “Education on Location Boot Camp” organized by the Allen County Business Advisory Council. The program aims to familiarize educators with local career opportunities in Lima-Allen County. Teachers like Kevin King from Bluffton are learning about available occupations to better inform their students about potential careers closer to home.

Kim Furry, a supervisor at the Lima Wastewater Treatment Plant, emphasizes the importance of highlighting these career paths early for high school students, noting the city’s support for on-the-job training and continuing education. Apollo Career Center is hosting the boot camp for the second consecutive year.
