BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Michel Bechstein, currently the assistant principal at Bowling Green Middle School, has been appointed as the new principal at Kenwood Elementary School. Bechstein has a personal connection to Kenwood, having attended the school himself, as did his children. Despite initially working in the corporate sector, he transitioned to education after realizing his passion for teaching.
Bechstein has served in various roles within the school district, including teaching technology and working as an assistant principal. He describes education as deeply fulfilling and is excited to shift his focus to younger students. Bechstein aims to support students holistically and foster a positive learning environment. While acknowledging the challenges ahead, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bechstein is committed to making Kenwood Elementary the best it can be. He officially assumes his new role on August 1st but plans to familiarize himself with the school during the summer.
